The Salina Art Center accepts exhibition and residency proposals from regional, national, and international contemporary artists on an ongoing basis. As a nonprofit contemporary art center, our mission is to create meaningful exchanges among art, artists, and audiences that spark conversation and foster community connections.

Whether you have a fully realized exhibition concept or are interested in our Artist in Residence (AIR) program—which culminates in a featured solo exhibition at the Art Center following the residency period—we’d love to learn more about your practice!

Teaching & Volunteer Opportunities

Share Your Craft at the Art Center

Are you a passionate artist or art enthusiast looking to get involved? We’re always seeking creative talent to lead or assist with studio classes and workshops across a variety of age groups—from youth to adults!

Whether you're an experienced educator, knowledgeable in your practice and eager to teach, or simply want to support our programs as a volunteer, we’d love to have you.

To propose a class or sign up to volunteer, please email dmorawitz@salinaartcenter.org with the following:

  • Subject Line: [Your Name] - Teaching Proposal OR Volunteer Application

  • Email Details: A brief intro, a quick summary of your background, your class idea (if teaching) or how you’d like to help (if volunteering), and 2-3 samples of your work or student work.
