Visual improvisation teaches students to harness the power of their imaginations, transforming the world around them and bringing their ideas to life. This class is geared towards those interested in 2-dimensional art making, such as drawing, painting, photography, collage, and writing. The main goal of this course is to help students gain confidence in their artistic practice through playful, self-reflective projects and group activities.

Throughout the week, students will learn how to use oil paint. Classes will begin with demonstrations on how to use materials and techniques to achieve their goals. By the end of the week, students will have a finished landscape painting.

Want to level up your social media videos? This class will cover basic video editing, stop-motion animation, and increasing the creativity in your videos. We'll help you find your voice and let your personality shine through.

We will also premiere the videos at the Art Center Cinema the evening of July 11th!

CRASH COURSE ON COLLAGE

Collage art encompasses many styles and mediums. Collage uses paper, fabric, newspaper, and other embellishments to create a final image. Throughout the week, students will learn various ways to use material to create collage pieces. By the end of class, students will have a landscape collage and a portrait collage to show their understanding of the skill.
