Being attracted to bright, saturated colors, the yearly Kustom Kemps of America (KKOA) Lead Sled Spectacular car show draws Salina photographer, George Jerkovich, “like a moth to a flame.”

GLOSSY ∙ BRIGHT ∙ COLORFUL features nine, large-format photographs printed on metal, showcasing automotive details of nine customized cars. Stating that color and form are the two most important aspects of his work, in this selection of images George includes a broad spectrum of warm colors which he favors over cool ones--the metal substrate rendering them “glossy, bright, colorful.”

George Jerkovich is a noted regional photographer. He exhibits regularly in area exhibits and his work is represented in many corporate and private collections. Normally a landscape photographer, George admits that he is “not a car guy” but that he does admire the color, form, and craft of restored cars. Just as in photography, the process as well as the final image is important to him.
