Monet Masterpieces

Instructor: Shelly Grandy.

Go back in time and explore the gardens of Claude Monet! We will be inspired by Monet’s works of art and create our own masterpieces using different processes and materials. Projects include finger-paint water lilies, a lily pad collage, and more.

Kansas Creations

Instructor: Krista Demars

Learn about our home State of Kansas while exploring cultures of the past. Explore the types of art that the Native Americans in Kansas created. Projects will include a framed sunflower painting, a painted pot, a dreamcatcher, and a watercolor Kansas sky!

Around the World: Story Time Puppet Time! (TAIR)

Instructor: Lavinia Roberts

Work with Teaching Artist in Residence Lavina Roberts! Students will create a puppet project each class inspired by folktales from around the world. Explore different cultures and learn how to tell stories and show expression through art and movement!

Let’s Go Van Gough!

Instructor: Shelly Grandy

Travel through Art History! Learn about the life and work of Vincent Van Gough and create Van Gough inspired art. Students will draw and paint sunflowers, create a “Starry Night”, explore self portraits, and more. Develop fine motor skills while having fun with art!

Matisse Masterpieces

Instructor: Shelly Grandy

Explore color and shapes and drawing with scissors! We will look at Matisse’s works of art and create our own masterpieces. Students build their creativity and skills as they explore collage, paper mache, and painting in this class.

Kandinsky Creations

Instructor: Shelly Grandy

Kandinsky used colors, concentric circles, and shapes galore to create his art! Join the fun and create Kandinsky inspired art. Students will improve skills using scissors, paint, and glue as they explore different colors.
