June 24-28 - Lavinia Roberts, Teaching Artist in Residence

Lavinia Roberts is an award-winning playwright, puppet designer, and educator. She is published with Applause Books, Big Dog Plays, Brooklyn Publishers, Heuer Publishing, Plays: The Drama Magazine for Young People, Pioneer Drama, Redleaf Press, Smith and Kraus, and others. She has received productions in 50 states and internationally overseas in Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Greece, India, Ireland, South Africa, Turkey, and The United Kingdom. Her curriculum book, A Little Drama: Playful Activities for Young Children is available with Redleaf Press. She has a Masters in Educational Theatre from New York University and BFA in Fine Art from the University of Kansas.


Design, develop, and create your unique mask and wearable art! This course will introduce sculpture techniques for creating masks using paper mache. Learn how plan out your design and turn it into form. Participants will be invited to join us in unveiling their masks in the Tri-Rivers parade on Tuesday, August 6.
