The Artist Exchange is a mentoring program that enables local and regional artists to teach and learn together while engaged in challenging, innovative work. Six artists have met and communicated regularly over a nine-month period as they developed work for this culminating exhibition. Participants document their methods and insights in personal journals as they share ideas, discuss concepts and techniques, and refine their artistic philosophies.
The exhibition features painting, printmaking, ceramics, and interactive installations. Exchange artists will share comments about their creative journeys with the public at the exhibit’s opening reception. Participants are
Richae Morrow (Salina) mentored by Cindy Zimmerman (Salina)
Peggy Medina (Salina) mentored by Conrad Snider (Newton)
Rachel Epp Buller (Newton) mentored by Ann Resnick (Wichita)
Organized by the Salina Art Center. Funding for Artist Exchange was provided in part by the Horizons Grants Program, Salina Arts & Humanities Commission, City of Salina.
