Omaha-born, Los-Angeles-based artist Robyn O’Neil toiled for seven years laboriously crafting an epic narrative illustrating The End. The resulting series of over 200 graphite drawings, The world has won. A final bow was taken., comes to astonishing life in the artist’s first-ever animation We, The Masses. Co-written by O’Neil and director Eoghan Kidney and produced by Nicola Gogan, We, The Masses takes viewers on a 13-minute journey through a haunting interpretation of the apocalypse.
Presented in conjunction with SAC’s current exhibition, Streams of Consciousness, We, The Masses will be screened at the Cinema for three evenings only, March 8-10. The artist will deliver a free, public talk about the film and her artistic practice at the Art Center Friday, March 9 at 7:00 pm.
