Crochet Off

Sunday, July 18, 1:00-5:00 pm at The Warehouse
Collaborate with current Salina Art Center artist in residence, Marguerite Perret, and Stephanie Lanter by participating in this FREE, public workshop.  Help create a gigantic throw comprising three-inch knit or crocheted granny squares made in memory of family and friends who suffered from dementia or anyone who served as a caretaker.  Instruction will be provided in basic crochet techniques for newcomers to the medium.  Experienced participants are encouraged to bring articles of clothing or other mementos of the individuals to be memorialized in the granny squares.
