Many contemporary photographers are producing work that addresses cultural and personal identity within the context of suburban and domestic life. These artists incorporate themes regarding the nature of love and family, isolation, loss of innocence and teen culture. While exploring these issues contemporary artists have tended to blend the imagined and real, the fictional and auto-biographical to create their narratives.
