February 20-May 15, 2005

Fortushniak searches for the meaning of human existence in this exhibition, a combination of three-dimensional latex hominid figures juxtaposed against his lush Renaissance-style drawings and paintings. The artist’s work also shows the influence of stop-motion animator Ray Harryhausen, creator of special effects in Jason and the Argonauts, Sinbad, and other films.
